Wild Woman: My experience of WILD(er)ness.

After a period of intense transitions in my life, I turned inwards. Feeling a lack of nature I longed to feel more of it in my life. I felt drawn to leave everything behind and experience ‘wilderness’. This led me on a journey to Africa. Together with 7 other women and two amazing guides we went into the wilderness of South Africa’s Hluhluwe-iMfolozi game reserve. It has been wonderful for me writing about the journey. Reliving it has felt quite therapeutic for the process of integration. I am sharing it for you to read and absorb. I hope to touch a little wild part of you, whoever you are, and that it inspires you to find some wilderness within.

What women should know about pelvic floor vitality: Feel first, exercise later!

What strikes me most in working with women’s pelvic health is that we are very misinformed about what is going on in our bodies. For example in the context of urinary leakage, I believe this has to do partly with shame around the subject, but also with the fact that the right information is not always accessible. In recent years a lot of valuable research has been conducted that has given us many valuable insights in women’s health. Through my work I would like to share some of those insights that I feel would benefit women.
